Mylie Galigher named student of the month

Buckeye Career Center has named the October Student of the Month recipients. Conotton Valley senior Mylie Galigher was chosen for the honor for demonstrating October’s core value of Communication. 

Galigher is going for Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. She is active in volleyball, softball, cheerleading, bowling, the CV Wish Squad,and the National Honor Society. She also volunteers for the Conotton Valley biddy sports programs and works at the Atwood Dari Bar in the summer. 

At BCC, she is a Buckeye Ambassador, the HOSA Future Health Professionals chapter president, and was a 2024 HOSA International Leadership Conference qualifier. She is also a member of BCC’s National Technical Honor Society. 

Her Exercise Science instructor, Mr. Jamey Harlan, nominated her for the honor. “Mylie continually shows her communication strengths as a leader in my lab and with HOSA,” said Harlan. “She also represents BCC in public by helping our marketing department as an ambassador and has grown so much since entering BCC last August. Galigher plans to attend college for a pre-chiropractic degree with future hopes of owning a chiropractic practice.”
