EOG Resources, Inc. donated a $21,430 check to Brown Twp. Trustees to pave Sycamore Rd. near Brown Local Schools last week.
“This donation will totally pave Sycamore Rd.,” said Lucas Shipper of EOG Resources, Inc. “We are aware that both the Brown Township Trustees and Malvern Village Council are unable to pave the road due to costs and other factors and the road has been a problem for school buses and the school. We are happy to use this opportunity to help the township, the village and the school.”

“This is going to be a blessing for both the village and the township,” said Malvern Mayor Bob DeLong who was on site for the check presentation. “This will help the school a great deal as well.”
Brown Township Trustees Chris Rotondo, John Dustman and Mike McCort were on site along with Brown Township Fiscal Officer Peggie Conner.
“This is a blessing for both us trustees and the village of Malvern and an opportunity to work together on a shared road,” said Trustee Chris Rotondo. “EOG has been here for two and a half years and have been great to work with, even beyond this project.”
Superintendent Mark Scott welcomed all to the school grounds and thanked EOG Resources, Inc. for the support.
“We are excited for this to allow the traffic to flow easier behind the school and it will be more convenient and safer for our students and families to come to school,” said Scott. “On behalf of Brown Local Schools, I would like to express our gratitude to EOG Resources.”
