Minerva community mourns loss of student athlete

The running community is showing its support for Minerva High School and its cross country squad after a member of the team died in an accident at the district cross country meet Saturday at Cambridge High School.
Area cross country teams are expressing sympathy and showing their support by wearing red (Minerva school color) at practice this week.
Junior Owen Grubb was killed in an accident following the Division II boys race. Grubb and his Lion teammates placed second in the race and qualified for the regional meet this Saturday at Pickerington High School. Grubb placed 10th in the race.
According to the Cambridge Police Department, which investigated the accident, Grubb and three of his teammates were “cooling down” after the race when the accident occurred.
