Carroll County recorded its first fatal crash of 2024 when a Malvern man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Carroll County yesterday evening.

According to a report filed by Sergeant Clinton D. Armstrong of the new Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Patrick Snow, 71, of Malvern, was pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital following the crash, which occurred at 7:05 p.m.

The driver of the other vehicle, Dakota Kincaid, 26, of East Rochester, was transported to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash occurred on Andora Rd. (CR 10) in Augusta Twp.

Troopers said Kincaid was driving a 2010 Ford Escape northbound on Andora Rd. Snow was driving a 2020 Chrysler Voyager southbound on Andora Rd. Kincaid’s Escape traveled left of center and struck the Voyager, went off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. The Voyager traveled off the right side of the road and came to rest.

Snow was wearing a seat belt; Kincaid was not.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Carroll County sheriff deputies, Augusta Fire Department, Sandy Creek Fire Department, EMT, McNinch Towing and Prendergast Towing assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
