Kasey Levengood has been named activity director at Carroll Golden Age Retreat.

Levengood began working at the Golden Age Retreat in July 2019, training with Kathy Horn, then activities director, until her retirement in December.

She recently completed her national Activity Professional training course and worked as a nurse aide for 10 years prior to starting at the Golden Age Retreat.

“I am hoping to bring new and exciting experiences to all our residents. We are thrilled to welcome visitors and special guests back to our facility!” Levengood said. “Our residents look forward to seeing the familiar faces of our past volunteers and we’re all hoping to meet some new friends.”

Levengood was born in Sioux Falls, SD, and lived there until a job opportunity for her dad brought the family to Euclid in 1997, when she was 13 years old. In 1999, the same job brought the family to Carroll County. She graduated from Carrollton High School class of 2003.

She has been an active sports mom for about 10 years with baseball and football. When her oldest son was in first grade, she became Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 141 and held that position for eight years.

Levengood lives at Leesville Lake with her long-time boyfriend, Brett, and their three children, Tanner, Zoey and Caiden.

“I have truly enjoyed becoming part of the Carroll Golden Age Retreat family,” Levengood added. “I am blessed to work in a wonderful facility surrounded by a kind and caring community! I hope to see you soon!”
