Hillari Baker, Andrew Lane named CHS students of the month

Hillari Baker and Andrew Lane are the Carrollton High School Senior Students of the Month for March. 

Baker is the daughter of Kelli and JR Baker of Carrollton. She has one sister age 22. She is involved in basketball, student council, NHS and has been a 4-year office aide.

Her hobbies include collecting shoes and playing cards. She plans to go to college at Wheeling University and major in criminal justice. 

Who has influenced her the most and why? “My mom because she is very determined.”

What advice can you give for success in life? “Work hard and never give up,” said Baker. 

Lane is the son of Ryan and Janet Lane, of Kensington. He has two brothers, Jaret, 23 and Troy, 20. He is involved in St. John’s Youth Group and is the president of his 4-H group. 

His hobbies include hunting deer, turkeys and groundhogs, farming crops and raising beef cattle. 

He plans on going to Youngstown State University and becoming a mechanical engineer. 

Who has influenced him the most and why? “My mom because she always pushes me to do my best,” said Lane. 

What advice can you give for success in life? “If you want to buy something without looking at the price, then you got to work without looking at the clock,” said Lane.
