Halloween + Math games = Learning experience for all!

Carrollton elementary students in Kay Russell’s 5th grade class made Halloween a fun and learning experience for underclassmen last week.

The students, dressed in Halloween costumes, taught math lessons to students in second and third grade classrooms.

“The idea was to improve math skills in the district in a fun way,” said Russell. Students moved throughout the Bell-Herron gymnasium to different stations where the third graders interacted with the under- classmen in a game atmosphere.
