Easter week services

Following is information on Easter week services submitted to The Messenger:

Community Good Friday Service

March 29: The public is invited to attend the annual Community Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. at Cumberland Methodist Church. New Cumberland Methodist Church, Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church, Lake Drive Fellowship Church and Sherrodsville Calvary Church come together in unity each year for the service. The message will be brought forth by Pastor Dan Parson. The church is located at 4058 New Cumberland Rd. NE, New Cumberland.

Wesley Community Chapel

March 29: Wesley Community Chapel will observe a service of remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at 7 p.m. The church is located at 569 12th St., Carrollton. The public is invited to attend.

Sherrodsville Wesleyan Church

March 28: Celebrate Communion around the Last Supper Table from 7 – 8:15 p.m.

March 31: Easter “Sonrose” Service at 8:30 a.m. followed by breakfast and a 10:30 a.m. Resurrection Celebration. The church is located at 73 North Church St., Sherrodsville (SR 39).

Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church

March 29: Good Friday service at 7 p.m.

March 31: “Son”rise 7 a.m. followed by a free breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. Sunday school for all ages at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional worship service in the sanctuary at 9:45 a.m. Public invited to attend one or all services.

Perrysville churches

Maundy Thursday Service: March 28, 6:30 p.m. Pleasant Hill Church (combined service).

Easter Sunrise Service: March 31, 7 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Church (combined service).

Easter Sunday Service: March 31, 10:30 a.m. Perrysville Church (combined service).

Carrollton Bible Chapel

Easter Sunday, March 31: Annual Easter Breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by a Special Easter Prelude from 10:15-010:30 and the Easter Morning Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.

10:15-10:30: Special Easter Prelude

10:30 a.m.: Easter Morning Worship Service.

The church is located at 365 Steubenville Rd. SE, Carrollton.

Carrollton First United Methodist Church / The Bridge

March 28: Maundy Thursday Service, 6 p.m. at the Yellow Brick Church. 

March 29: Good Friday Cross Walk. Meet at the Yellow Brick Church at noon. Anyone interested in participating should meet in the lower hallway of the Yellow Brick Church. The group will travel to downtown Carrollton as a group will hearing scriptures pertaining to Good Friday and Jesus’ time on the cross. The group will gather around a wooden cross near the Ben Franklin store on Main St. and pray. The group will then take turns (those who wish to participate) carrying the cross back to the Methodist Church and into the sanctuary for a brief meditation and prayer. 

March 31: Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. at the Carroll County Fairgrounds. Easter breakfast prepared by the Men’s Group to follow inside The Bridge.

March 31: Easter Sunday Services at 9 a.m. at the Yellow Brick Church and 10:30 a.m. at The Bridge.

The Bridge is located at the Carroll County Fairgrounds and the Yellow Brick Church is located on the corner of S. Lisbon St. and Third St. SW.

 Christ Community Church

March 28: Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m.

March 31: Easter Sunday service at 10 a.m.
