Ghosts, goblins and ghouls will certainly be out and about as communities celebrate Halloween with a variety of events.
In the case of trick-or-treat events, villages ask that residents participating turn on porch lights.
Following are events submitted to The Messenger:
Oct. 21: Harsh Memorial Church Halloween Party from 2-5 p.m. Event includes trunk-or-treat (anyone with a vehicle can hand out treats), a chili cook-off, bounce house, face painting, wiener roast, smores and fall desserts. The church is located at 3167 Apollo Rd. NE in Harlem Springs.
Oct. 26: Trunk-or-Treat at Senior Suites at Century Farms, from 5-8 p.m. Located at 1111 Canton Rd. NW, Carrollton.
Oct. 26: Malvern Trick-or-Treat, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
Oct. 28: Trunk-or-Treat from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Carroll County Fairgrounds. Sponsored by Carrollton First United Methodist Church and Carroll County 4-H program. Free for children ages 2 years through 5th grade.
Oct. 28: Perrysville Community Halloween Party from 6:30- 8 p.m. at Perry Township Hall, 154 Amsterdam Rd., Scio. Costume judging, games, refreshments and treat bags. Sponsored by Perrysville Church and community members. Info, call 330-627-7359.
Oct. 28: Loudon Twp. Trunk-or-Treat at Loudon Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. (Germano Rd., Kilgore) from 6-7 p.m. Costume judging and party at 7 p.m. Hayride, weather permitting.
Oct. 31: Carrollton Trick-or-Treat Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.
Oct. 31: Community Halloween Party following Trick-or-Treat from 7-8:30 p.m. in the commons area of Carrollton High School. There will be games, punch and donuts, a hayride and costume judging.
Oct. 31: Sherrodsville Trick-or-Treat, 6-7:30 p.m.
Oct. 31: Dellroy Trick-or-Treat, 5:30 – 7 p.m.
