Amsterdam man life-flighted from Bear Rd. crash scene

An Amsterdam man was life flighted to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) with serious injuries following a crash on Bear Rd. April 8.
Sgt. Bill Bower of the New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the one-vehicle crash occurred in Loudon Twp. just before 9 p.m. He said Daniel Muncy, 29, of Senlac Rd. was southbound on Bear Rd. between Sentry Rd. and Beaver Rd. when his pickup went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.
Muncy was transported by STAT MedEvac. A passenger in the truck, Bentley Munch, 8, was transported by Bergholz EMS to Trinity Center West with possible injuries.
Bentley was wearing a seat belt; Daniel was not, according to the crash report.
Bower said the accident remains under investigation.
