NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2023-2024 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM
Carroll County is applying to the Ohio Department of Development/Office of Community Investments for funding through a Critical Infrastructure Grant under the 2023-2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The County plans to apply for $293,000 under the Critical Infrastructure Program.
On April 10, 2023, the County conducted the first public hearing to inform citizens about this grant program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other program requirements. Based on both citizen input and local officials’ assessment of the County’s needs, the County is proposing to undertake the following activities for the CDBG Critical Infrastructure Grant:
CDBG Allocation Program:
- $268,000 will be used for the Village of Leesville Storm Sewer Improvements. (National Objective: Area Benefit to Low-to-Moderate Income Persons)
- $25,000 will be used for administration and implementation of the program.
The public hearing will be held at the County Commissioners office on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.to give citizens the opportunity to review and comment on Carroll County’s proposed activities.
