Charles “Charlie”Kidd, 70

Charles “Charlie” Kidd, 70, of Carrollton, passed away Friday afternoon Jan. 29, 2021, at Alutman Hospital in Canton.

Born Sept. 3, 1950, in Richwood, WV, he was a son of the late Gladys Huff and Opal Kidd. 

Charlie was a retired Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy, having served with the department in different roles for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Carroll County Vet’s Club. 

He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Harsh; son, Michael (Patricia) Kidd; daughter, Erica (Chelsee) Barr; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jackson and Riley; brother, Ralph (Mary) Kidd; and two sisters, Bertha Leasure and Etta Brown. 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard, and two sisters, Kathy and Brenda Sue. 

In accordance with Charlie’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family is planning a public memorial service to be held at a later date. Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton assisted the family with arrangements.
