EOG Resources, Inc., along with The Oil and Gas Association partnered for a Toys for Tots giveaway for area children at the Malvern office (the former Colfor Manufacturing building) on Dec. 9.

“A lot of us live here locally and we are community oriented,” said Lucas Shipper with EOG Resources, Inc. “We have received good feedback about the purchase of the former Colfor Building and we are happy to put it to use like this to continue serving the community.”

EOG employees donated to Toys for Tots and the company matched the donations resulting in a $45,100 donation to the program.

“Out of the nine companies that we are partnered with, EOG contributed the most dollars as well as the most volunteers to Toys for Tots,” said Mike Chadsey, director of External Affairs at the Ohio Oil and Gas Association. “Not that it is a competition, but EOG has shown that they have been the most all-in by spending time and resources to this project. They put employees on a plane from all over the United States to Malvern to help with this distribution. This can be a humbling experience for those in need of help and EOG provided  Christmas music, food and a warm and friendly atmosphere that helps with that.”

Each child gets four toys, some books and either a game or puzzle for the family to enjoy together.

There were 55 EOG Resources, Inc., employees including spouses and children who helped with the distribution.

Approximately 135 families were served at EOG Resources, Inc. offices which represented 445 children.
