The 17th annual Journey production is set to take place Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Chapel.

The eye-witness account will be held on the wooded grounds of the chapel and features several full-size structures called lampposts. Some include: the stable in Bethlehem, abandoned fishing boats, the upper room, the garden of Gethsemane, the empty tomb and more.

Based on the passage from Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path,” the Journey is a unique retelling of the Gospel message as church members dress in costume and portray key figures during Jesus’ ministry. Church member Roger Swain will narrate this year’s event.

Communion will be served in the outdoor chapel. Groups of any size are welcome.

The event is free and open to the public, but donations are always accepted to help support the ongoing upkeep of this outreach ministry.

The Journey is located at 5230 Arrow Rd., PO Box 431, Minerva.
