Roberta J. Raines, 88

Roberta J. Raines, 88, of Harlem Springs, passed away Aug. 17, 2024, at Akron General Hospital following a brief illness.

A daughter of the late George and Mary Hood Hooper, she was born June 21, 1936, in Toronto, Ohio.

Roberta is survived by a son, Brian Raines of Amsterdam; a daughter, Mary Ann Russell of Monroe, MI; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Steve, Brooke, Brianne, and Brock Raines, and James, Michael, and Mitchell Russell; six great grandchildren, Ava, Nina, and Noah Russell and Aubrie and Jase Raines; and a sister, Patricia Petty.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Will Roger Raines, a son, Roger Dwayne Raines, three brothers, Ed, Ike, Bill, and two sisters, Jane and Hellen.

Funeral services for Roberta will be held Friday, Aug. 23, at noon in Dodds Funeral Home of Carrollton. Burial will follow in Harlem Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
