Dolores J. Michelli, 72

Dolores J. Michelli, 72, of Carrollton, formerly of Flushing, Ohio, passed away in her home on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023.
A daughter of the late Louie and Effie Marie (Carrel) Michelli, she was born on Feb. 23, 1951 in Flushing, Ohio.

Dolores received her medical assistant certification from Belmont Technical College and worked as a medical assistant in Flushing and Cadiz until her retirement. She enjoyed making ceramics when she was younger, had a huge teddy bear collection, and was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Dolores was also an animal lover. Over the years, she had several dogs and rescued multiple cats.

She is survived by her son Matthew (Sarah) Shannon of Westerville; boyfriend, Bill Shepherd; brother, John (Jean) Michelli; two sisters-in-law, Diane and Vicki Michelli; nephews, Stephen and Michael Michelli; nieces, Jennifer Kornick, Mindy Kiryk, and grand nephew Thomas Kornick.
 
Along with her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by three brothers, Lou Michelli Jr., Tom Michelli and Glen Gilmore.
 
Per her wishes there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Flushing Volunteer Fire Hall on Nov. 12. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal rescue/charity in her name.
