Buckeye Career Center (BCC) Exercise Science senior Adam Walker was named one of three February Students of the Month.

Walker, along with Regan Baker, an Early Childhood Education senior from New Philadelphia, and Melissa Snyder, an adult education student in the Law Enforcement Training Academy, were chosen for representing February’s core value of success for all.

Walker attends BCC from Conotton Valley. He plays baseball for Conotton Valley and was a member of the basketball team for two years. He is employed at Speedway.

At BCC, Walker is a member of HOSA, placing fifth in medical math last year and second place in epidemiology this year at regionals. He was nominated by his instructor, Mr. Jamey Harlan.

“I am especially impressed with how Adam helps his classmates who might not understand something. He has grown so much in his two years at BCC, while working 30 hours a week and playing sports,” said Harlan.

Upon graduation, Walker plans to attend Stark State to become a physical therapist assistant.

He is the son of Kristen Kortz and Teddy Schreckengaust.

The three were recognized by the BCC Board of Education at the February meeting.
