\ufeffCarrollton boys and girls bowling teams both earned No. 1 seeds when sectional pairings were announced Jan. 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Warriors boys team will compete in the East District Division II sectional Feb. 13 at Boulevard Lanes in Dover beginning at 2 p.m. The girls will travel to Boulevard Lanes in Dover Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minerva will also compete in the East District sectional. The Lion boys team, seeded No. 2 will bowl Feb. 10 beginning at 9 a.m. at Boulevard Lanes. The Lady Lions, also the No. 2 seed, also travel to Boulevard Lanes, Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conotton Valley boys earned the No. 2 seed in the Division IV East District and will compete Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at Boulevard Lanes. The Lady Rockets earned the No. 2 seed and will bowl Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Clair Lanes in St. Clairsville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top three teams and three individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the district tournament at Sunrise Bowling Center at Zanesville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Girls basketball<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minerva and Carrollton both hit the road to begin Division II sectional action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Warriors are the no. 9 seed and the Lions No. 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrollton travels to Claymont the take on the No. 9 seed Mustangs Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winner of that game advances to play the No. 5 seed Dover Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lions travel to New Concord to face the No. 6 seed John Glenn Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malvern earned the No. 4 seed in the Division IV girls sectional and Conotton Valley is no. 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malvern will host No. 9 River Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. Conotton Valley (tied in the seeding with Bridgeport) travels to No. 2 Monroe Central. They will also play Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandy Valley earned a home game in the first round of the Division III East District sectional. The No. 8 Cards will  host Harrison Central Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. No. 14 Edison Local travels to Tucarawas Central Catholic Feb. 18 for a 7 p.m. contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrestling<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrollton is part of a 10-team Division II sectional scheduled Feb. 26 and 27 at Claymont High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams include (in order of seed): Minerva, Carrollton, Dover, Tri-Valley, Indian Creek, Indian Valley, Cambridge, River View, Union Local and Maysville. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malvern is the No. 3 seed in the Division III East District sectional at Sandy Valley Feb. 27. Teams in order of seed include: Sandy Valley, Newcomerstown, Malvern, Harrison Central, Toronto, Tusky Valley, Caldwell, Ridgewood, Garaway, Shadyside, Edison, Bellaire and Bridgeport.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
