October & November – Mondays – Lunch 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. by donation at the Warren Twp. Community Center on SR 212 in New Cumberland.  Includes many sides, dessert and a drink. Plus, The Loft Resale Shop open 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  

Tuesdays – Carrollton Rotary Club meets at St. John’s Villa at noon. 

Thursdays – Car Cruise-in on Public Square in Carrollton 5-8 p.m.

Oct. 21 – Book discussion for “The Winemaker’s Wife” by Kristin Harmel at Carroll County District Library at 6 p.m. Books available for check out. 

Oct. 22 – Halloween Howl Story Time at Malvern Branch Library from 10:30-11:30 a.m. For ages 6 and younger. Stories, crafts and games. For info, call 330-863-0636. The library is located at 710 E. Porter St., Malvern.

Oct. 23 – Bluebird Farm Park Chili Cook-Off at The Barn at Carroll Community Park on SR 39 from 12-5 p.m. Variety of chilis, two breweries, OSU game streaming. $10 for people’s choice division, $20 for pro. Enter by Oct. 20 by calling Carroll County Park District at 330-627-8046.

Oct. 24 – Pork Loin Dinner at East Springfield VFD, 9845 CR 39, Bloomingdale, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Dine-in or carryout. Cost is $10, includes pork loin, baked potato, corn, cottage cheese or applesauce, roll and dessert. Call 740-543-3563 to order or for delivery. 

Oct. 26 – Suet Bird Feeder craft at Carroll County District Library at 5:30 p.m. Attendees will bake a bird feeder using a coffee cup, suet and seeds. Registration is required by calling 330-627-2613.

Oct. 27 – Free Community Blessings Drive-Thru Dinner 5-8 p.m. at Perry Twp. Hall in Perrysville. Sponsored by Perrysville and Pleasant Hill United Methodist churches. For information, call 330-627-7593.

Oct. 28 – Carroll County Animal Protection League meeting at Carroll County District Library meeting room. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. The library is located at 70 2nd St. NE, Carrollton.

Nov. 2 – Carroll County Board of Elections meeting at 9 a.m. in the office in the Courthouse.

Nov. 4 – Every Thursday at 5 p.m. the Women for Christ-Give Back Ministries will host a talk about what is happening in the world, what the Bible teaches and what exciting promises God has for all. Attendance is free. Materials will be provided.  Held at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 450 12th St. NW, Carrollton.

Nov. 6 – Community Breakfast at Loudon Twp. Community Center (former Kilgore School), 7:30-10 a.m. by donation. Includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns and beverages. Proceeds go toward maintaining the building.
