Baker wins 100M, 200M at Lidderdale Invitational

Carrollton, Malvern and Sandy Valley athletes participated in the Lidderdale Invitational track meet April 14 at Sandy Valley High School.
The Carrollton girls team placed third in the field of nine teams with 66 points. Indian Valley earned the top slot with 126 points. Malvern was seventh with 41 and Sandy Valley ninth with 22.
On the boys side, Sandy Valley captured third with 58 points, followed by Carrollton in fifth with 51 and Malvern eighth with 23. Tusky Valley placed first with 182.
Earning wins were Carrollton’s Nathan Baker in the 100M with a time of 11.44 and the 200 in 23.26, the CHS boys 4×200 relay team of Braxton Swearingen, Lawson Irwin, Zach Perorazio and Baker with a time of 1:33.8 and Brock Smith in the long jump with a distance of 19’11.75 inches.
