Sumiko Repella, 89

Sumiko Repella, 89, of Sherrodsville, formerly of Amsterdam, passed away Saturday evening September 28, 2024 at Union Hospital in Dover. 

Born December 14, 1934 in Japan, she was a daughter of the late Eicho and Kasue Kagayema. 

Sumiko was a member of All Saints Orthodox Church in Wolf Run, Ohio. 

Surviving her are a daughter, Nina (Patrick) Reed of Sherrodsville; a son, David Repella of Wintersville; and a grandson, David. 

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, in 2003. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. in Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam with Fr. Andrew Nelko officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Wolf Run. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
