Sallie R. Curry

Sallie R. Curry, 86, of Amsterdam, passed away April 1, 2023, in Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
Born Feb. 14, 1937, in Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Elizabeth Ricketts.
Sallie was a member of the Amsterdam United Methodist Church where she was a part of the United Methodist Women’s Group. For many years Sallie ran the Amsterdam Lending Library and their summer program and assisted with the WEBA Food Pantry.
She is survived by a son, Rich Curry of Fort Myers, FL; and a grandson, Connor Curry of Fort Myers, FL.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Curry, and daughter, Cathy Curry.
Funeral services were held April 5 in Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam with Pastor Kathy Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Simmons Ridge Cemetery.
