Ruth Leone Hoover, 81, of Louisville, formerly of the Perrysville area, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in Carroll Healthcare Center, Carrollton.
Born Feb. 27, 1941, in Greene County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel F Stout and Marjorie Rhome Stout.
She worked as a supervisor for Photomatic Typographers in N Canton and worked for GE in Cleveland; Bob’s Pub in Scio and had managed Rudy’s Bar in Jewett. She also had a side business hanging wallpaper and painting interiors.
Christian by faith, Ruth’s smile and bubbly personality was infectious. She loved living in the country and was an accomplished artist and crafter.
She is survived by her special friend of 40 years, Diane Kirby of Bowerston; a son, Andrew (Thelma) Hoover of Louisville; a granddaughter, Jenny (Matt) Misch of Alliance; great grandchildren, Celina (Corey), Mady and Logan; a great-great grandson, Landon; a sister, Kay (John) Stiers of Columbus area; brothers, Rex (Debbie) Stout of Tennessee and Terry (Renee) Stout of South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are a brother, Ralph Stout; a stepbrother, Lawrence Park; and a step sister, Erma Leonard.
A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family. Koch Funeral Home, Scio has been entrusted with her arrangements.
