Robert L. “Bob” Eckley

Robert L. “Bob” Eckley, 91, passed from this life on Feb. 8, 2023.

 Bob was born on the family farm on Aug. 11, 1931, and was a lifelong resident of Carroll County, spending the majority of his life farming the family farm, which his grandfather purchased in 1905.

 On March 18, 1959, he married Sandra Capper.

 Bob is survived by one son, Russell Eckley of the home, who is the fourth generation to farm the family farm, and one daughter, Laura Brady, and a sister, Shirley Eckley.

 Bob was grandpa to Robert, Matthew and Amanda. He was great grandpa to Anna, Russell, Kourtnee, Santana, and RJ; and great-great-grandpa to Mechanna, Charlie May and Emery.

 He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sandra; his parents, Lee and Ethel Deck Eckley; and brothers, Ralph, Absalom and William “Bill”; and sisters, Helen, Frances, and infant, Lois Isabelle.

 There are no services planned and Bob will be buried beside Sandra at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Dodds Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
