Randy D. Pittis, 72

Randy D. Pittis, born April 29, 1952 in Canton, Ohio, 72 years old from Minerva, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Aultman Hospital with his loving family by his side: his wife, Helene Pittis, and his daughters: Marjory Pittis, Stacey (Ronnie) Jones, and Sarah (Joe) Ramnytz.  Also by his side were his devoted grandchildren Sydney, Katelynn, Maria, Morgan and Travis.

A special thank you to Brett and Cheryl for their support during this difficult time.

Preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Francis Pittis.

Randy’s life is a story book with many chapters not easy to tell in a few short paragraphs, but we would love to share some highlights.

Randy indulged in many activities. He worked at the Timken Company for 30 years as a skilled crane operator. As if that was not enough to keep him busy, he also worked 25 years as a therapeutic riding instructor at Pegasus Farms. He loved his students. This is also where he meets his loving wife, Helene, of 29 years.

The “Harley Trips” with his buddies were very memorable for him. Gardening was his Spring ritual, and he loved to plant trees any chance he had. Randy also loved putting his fresh picked onions and peppers on his bologna sandwiches.

Randy could not live without his dogs. Nelson will miss him terribly and Harper will always search for him. The big ole’ biker loved his Pomeranian Ebby who would often sleep on his “belly shelf.”

Randy had a morning routine which consisted of sitting on the back porch and soaking in his surroundings.

Family was a priority to him. He always made sure all of our needs were met. From cars, to food, to when we were sick, he was always there with a helping hand. He never wavered.

He was old school all the way and his family will miss him tremendously.

Memorial contributions can be made to Pegasus Farms, 7490 Edison St NE, Hartville, OH 44632.
