Mary Jane Dinger, 86, passed away June 2, 2020 of natural causes.

Born May 8, 1934, she was a daughter to the late Robert and Gertrude Harris.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gertrude “Trudy” Hale.

She is survived by her children, Robin (David) Gargala, Robert (Michelle) Dinger, Caroline (Brian) Chetock; and their father, Charles E. Dinger; grandchildren, Edward (Jessica) Hale, Hunter Chetock, Ryan and Adam Dinger; and great grandchildren, Emmaleigha and Adrianna Hale; and lifelong friend and family member, Anita Gargala.

She was a lifelong homemaker and worked tirelessly for the benefit of animals in Jefferson County. She housed many beloved stray dogs over the years.

A graveside service was held June 8 in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville. Dodds Funeral Home of Amsterdam assisted the family with making arrangements.
