Floyd Emerson Cox, 83

Floyd “Sonny” Cox, 83, of East Rochester died on Monday May 13, 2024. 

He was born on April 18, 1941, to the late Paul and Bertha Cox. He was a quiet man who enjoyed working on his farm and spending time with his family. He married Patricia M. Cox on December 20, 1990 and she passed away in 2006.

Survivors include his daughters Wanda (Rob) Bagueros and Rose (Jeremy) Himes; sons Kevin (Chris) Cox, Jeff (Beth) Cox and Marc (Ruth) Cox. He had an estimated twenty-nine grandchildren and sixty five great-grand children. Four great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Paul (Sandy) Cox Jr. Sisters Shirley McCartney and Gladys Carlie.

Floyd was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Edwin and a sister Geraldine Smalley.

Calling hours will be this Thursday May 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington. Private burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
