Albert Allison Grunder Jr., 89, passed away suddenly April 14, 2022.
He was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Minerva.
He was a lifelong resident of Minerva. After many years of service, he retired from B&H Machine Shop. He was an avid card player, golfer and bowler. In his later years, he enjoyed watching the ME TV channel.
He was a member of Harsh Bible Church. He lived for his family and never missed a child or any grandchild’s sporting event. No matter your name, you were Joe or Joey to him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Grunder; his parents, Albert and Pearl Grunder Sr.; a sister, Thelma Ray; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
He is survived by his children, Brenda Grunder, Albert Grunder III, Cindy Sandefur, Joy Butler, Robert (Buddy) Reed, Christal DeGarmo and Jennifer Grunder; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral from 2-3 p.m. April 22 at Allmon Dugger Cotton Funeral Home in Carrollton. A private funeral will be held. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Albert’s name may be made to Carroll County Visiting Nurse Association, PO Box 610, Carrollton, OH 44615.
