Traffic chase leads to grand jury indictment

An East Rochester man was indicted for Failure to Comply with the Signal of an Officer by a Carroll County grand jury last week.

The indictment, filed against TYLER PAUL FAULKINER, 19, of 8054 Ellyson Rd., stems from an incident March 8 in which he led Minerva police officers on a chase.

Carroll County Prosecuting Attorney Steven D. Barnett said shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched near West Line St for a reported suspicious vehicle. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver started to stop, then accelerated at a high rate of speed ad fled. Officers pursued the vehicle on US 30 east and terminated the pursuit near Kensington. State troopers and Columbiana County deputies located the vehicle and a second pursuit took place in Columbiana Co. Faulkiner was apprehended and later identified as the driver of the vehicle which fled Minerva officers.

Others indicted included:

CHRISTOPHER A. McKITRICK, 29, of 77 3rd St. SW, Carrollton, one count of Carrying Concealed Weapons, a felony of the fourth degree (F4) and one count of Possession of Cocaine (F5).  . 

DAVID A. HART, 40, of 4089 Bonnie Dr., Malvern, one count of Felonious Assault (F2) and one count of Domestic Violence, a misdemeanor of the first degree (M1).  

EUGENE J. ARKENBURGH, 34, of 205 ½ Milner St., Alliance, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5) and one count of Drug Paraphernalia Offenses (M4).  

DAVID B. KREPS, 43, of 1042 Bergholz Rd. SE, Bergholz, one count of Domestic Violence (F4).  WILLIAM T. CARTER, JR., 50, of Wadsworth, one count of Failure to Appear (F4). Carter, who has a pending felony case in the county, failed to appear March 12 for sentencing while released on a personal recognizance bond.  Carter’s bond was revoked and his whereabouts are unknown.

BRANDON LEE KEISTER, 28, of 4032 County Road 60, Bergholz, one count of Carrying Concealed Weapons (F4), one count of Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle (F4) and one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5).  

WILLIAM D. BARNES, 21, of 7586 Goodland Ave., SE, Waynesburg, one count of Carrying Concealed Weapons and one count of Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle (each an F4).  

CYLER J. MANELY, 24, and DAWN M. McCOY, 27, both of 305 West Line Street, Minerva, one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5), one count of Endangering Children (M1) one count of Drug Paraphernalia Offenses (M4).  

Arraignments are scheduled May 14 beginning at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Michael V. Repella, II.
