SWCD annual tree, fish sale underway

The Carroll Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is accepting orders for the annual tree and fish sale.

A variety of trees and shrubs such as blueberries, blackberries, apple trees, Norway Spruce, Northern Red Oak, Black Walnut and Eastern Redbud, and others are available. New this year is a Pollinator Pack, which contains a garden phlox, purple coneflower and an aster.

The order deadline is Friday April 2, 2021. Trees ordered through the sale will be available for pickup April 8 and 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The spring fish sale offers various fish species such as Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Channel Catfish, Yellow Perch, Hybrid Bluegill, Shell Crackers, Black Crappie, Fathead Minnows, White Amur and Japanese Koi. The deadline for ordering fish will be March 26. The fish will be available for pick up, April 1 at 8:30 a.m. at the Carroll Soil and Water Conservation District office.

Anyone interested in purchasing trees or fish can call the office at 330-627-9852 ext:3 to request prices and order forms. Prices and order forms can be viewed on www.carrollswcd.org, on the Facebook page, “carrollswcd”, or picked up outside the office, located at 613 High St. NW, Carrollton, OH 44615.

Due to the continued COVID-19 Pandemic, the Carroll SWCD office will remain closed to the public. Tree and fish order forms and other information will be available for pick up outside the office door. Completed order forms can be placed in the gray drop box, located to the left of the office door. Anyone with questions should call the office.
