A sentencing date has been set in Carroll County Municipal Court for the woman charged with starving four horses.

Diane K. Silbaugh, 69, who resided in a camper at ABC Campgrounds in Carroll County, withdrew not guilty pleas to four counts of cruelty to animals and entered no contest pleas March 31. Municipal Court Judge Gary Willen ordered a pre-sentencing investigation be completed and scheduled a sentencing hearing April 14 at 1 p.m.

The action cancels a jury trial scheduled April 12.

Silbaugh was charged March 9 with four counts of cruelty to animals in connection with the starvation of four horses, two of which were found dead in a Harrison Twp. barn. The other two horses are in foster homes.

She remains in the county jail on a $50,000 cash bond with a 10 percent feature.

The charges carry a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail and a $750 fine.
