Firefighters from four area departments battled a fire at a fatal fire on Memorial Rd. early Sunday morning.

A second person has died from injuries sustained in a Feb. 5 house fire in East Township.
David Crum, 64, of 8516 Memorial Rd. NE, Kensington, died two days later in an area hospital from injuries he sustained in the fire.
His wife, Kathy Crum, said her husband went back into the burning home in an attempt to rescue their son-in-law, Boyd Dean Bland, Jr., who was in the basement of the home. Bland died in the fire.
Kathy said her daughter, Brenda Bland, and a young child were also in the basement of the 28×56 modular home but were able to escape. Brenda was transported to a hospital but has since been released.
According to Hanover Twp. Columbiana County Fire Chief Frank Baker, there were four adults and three children living in the home. The other children were able to escape as well. When firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m., the home was fully engulfed in flames.
The state fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the blaze. Baker said the cause remains under investigation.
A gofundme page has been organized by Kathy’s son, Joe Vasko. Those wishing to donate can do so through the facebook page.
