Oberlin is the daughter of Deborah and Kyle Oberlin of Dellroy. She has two brothers, Brock Oberlin, 15, a freshman, and Michael Morrison, 21; and a sister, Heather Wiseman, 30.
In school she is a member of the varsity bowling team, marching and concert band and dance line and chamber chorus. She is a member of the Youth2Youth group and Middle School Mentors. Outside of school, she is a member of JTBA Bowling Leagues and is a youth McCook (bowling) coach.
In her free time, she watches Netflix and participates in Toys for Tots each Christmas as community service. Oberlin likes to be outside in general.
She plans to attend Walsh University and get her master’s degree with an internship in law. She hopes to work at a criminal investigative agency.
Who has influenced her and why?
“A lot of my influence was from not only my loving parents but also my coach, Wendy Russell,” Oberlin said. “She pushed me to be who I want to be and not let anyone stop me. She’s definitely like a second mom for me.”
Her advice for success in life? “There will always be several good and bad obstacles in your journey, but you will always get through them. Believe in yourself.”
Stephenson is the son of Dave and Tonia Stephenson of Dellroy. He has a sister who is 16 and a junior and a brother who is 13 and in seventh grade.
He is a member of the Carrollton FFA and National Honor Society.
His hobbies include “tinkering on anything with a motor.”
While unsure of future plans, he may go to a vocational school to become a trucker or mobile mechanic.
What teacher, coach, family member or special friend has influenced him and why?
“My mom and dad have both influenced me to work hard in life and pursue my dreams.”
His advice for success in life? “Just keep trying, even if you fail a few times. All that matters is that you finish the race.”
