Members of the Carrollton  Board of Education approved a new three-year contact with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE) Local #541 last week.

The contract, which runs from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2024, includes three percent pay increases each year along with a once-per-year lump-sum payment of $800.

Treasurer Roxanne Mazur noted the one-time payment is made possible by oil and gas funds the district receives.

The board then approved three percent pay increases and all benefit changes in the contract to non-union classified staff, including supervisors. The list includes assistant to the treasurer, payroll; assistant to the treasurer, budgetary; administrative assistant to the superintendent; central office secretary; data entry secretary; EMIS coordinator; custodial supervisor; cafeteria supervisor and transportation supervisor.
