Records set as Rocket bowlers roll

Bobby Brennan and Kendall Schaar, members of the Conotton Valley bowling teams, along with the girls team, rolled their way into the school records books at recent matches.

Brennan rolled a high game of 269 against Canton Central Catholic, added a 246 for a high series of 515. Both are school records.

Schaar rolled a high series of 440 (213, 227) against Marlington assisting the team to a school record match of 2,328.

Canton Central Catholic

The Rocket boys continued control of the alley by defeating CCC 2,401-2,126 Jan. 7. Brennan rolled the high series and high game with 515 (269, 246). Caldwell rolled 379 (204, 175); Myer, 347 (145, 202); Bernhart, 345 (184, 161) and Chase Scott, 301 (153, 148).

Conotton Valley led 1,887-1,643 after individual games. The Rockets rolled a 514 Bakers and CCC 483.

Christian Parsons rolled the high series and high game for CCC with 452 (206, 246). Wyatt Ehret rolled 359 (167, 192) and John Compton, 306 (137, 169).

Conotton girls bounced back to defeat CCC 2,290-2,018. Willoughby rolled the high series with a 378 (184, 194). Stuber rolled the high game 198 and 165 for 363. The Schaar sisters were within one pin with their scores, Katie rolled 352 (174, 178) and Kendall 351 (161, 190). Blick added 340 (145, 195).

Amanda Varacky rolled the high series and high game with 376 (213, 163), followed by Sarah Colucy with 342 (161, 181) and Alina Stebbins, 324 (167, 157).

Conotton was leading 1,784-1,561 after individual games. The Rockets rolled a 506 Bakers while CCC rolled 457.

Marlington

The boys team continued to roll, defeating Marlington 2,271-1,891 Jan. 14 at Atwood Lanes.  Caldwell led the team with games of 192 and 208 for a 400. Brennan followed rolling a 153 and the high game of 214 for a 367; Myer rolled 329 (153, 176) and Bernhart 277 (136, 141). Rolli and Chase Scott each played one game, rolling a 145 and 195, respectively, to give the Rockets a 1,713-1,407 lead before Bakers. Conotton Valley rolled a 558 Bakers and Marlington, 484.

High scorer for Marlington was TJ Wilson with 344 (155, 189).

Kendall Schaar rolled the high series and high game, 440 (213, 227), followed by Stuber, 420 (208, 212); Katie Schaar, 353 (159, 194); Willoughby, 347 (135, 212); and Blick, 235 (85, 150). The Rockets were up 1,795-1,098 after the individual games. Conotton Valley rolled added a 533 Bakers and Marlington, 353.

Sabrina Kinch rolled the high series for Marlington with 249 (120, 129).
