Loudon Township homecoming parade winners

The Loudon Twp. Volunteer Fire Department homecoming featured a parade, food and two tractor pulls.

The  annual event was held in Kilgore Aug. 2 and 3 this year along with a makeup date  Aug. 4. The Friday tractor pull was postponed from Friday until Sunday afternoon, but the food stand was still open for diners Friday evening.

The annual parade and tractor pull highlighted Saturday events, along with a chicken barbecue.  

Parade winners include:

Best Tanker: Unionport Fire Dept. 

Best Engine: Dellroy Community Volunteer Fire Dept.

Best Brush Unit: Scio VFD.

Longest Distance Traveled: Sherrodsville VFD.

Side-by-Side/ATV/Motorsport: Jaxon Lee Racing of Amsterdam.

Best Tractor: Stanley Miller of Carrollton.

Judge’s Choice: Classic car driven by Pixie Furbee of Kilgore.
