Hailey Edie and Troy Lane reigned over “Carrollton Chic”  March 27 in the Carrollton High School gym.

Members of the prom committee, parents and volunteers transformed the gym and common area of the high school into an elegant venue fit to host royalty. Prom Coordinators McKenzie Hagy and Kelly Atkinson gave credit for the evening to committee members, who put the prom together in a short five-week period, parents and donors who stepped forward due to the shortened fundraising period.

They expressed special thanks to the Mallarnee family for the centerpieces and Chris King for the chair decorations and photo back drop.

Queen Hailey was crowned by junior Princess Olivia Lindenbaum and King Troy was crowned by junior Prince Austin Colletti.

Edie is the daughter of Steve and Heather Edie. She plans to become a member of the United States Air Force, working as an aircrew flight equipment specialist, and then attending college after her enlistment is completed.

At CHS, she is a member and officer of National Honor Society, a member Caring Helping Sharing (CHS) Club, and assists with Blessings in a Backpack, as well a member of the marching and concert bands, playing clarinet during concert season and dancing on the dance line during marching season.

Edie is also an Ambassador Girl Scout and enjoys lifting weights at All In Training and spending time with family and friends.

-Junior Princess Olivia Lindenbaum, daughter of Jeremy Lindenbaum and Megan Coones. She is a member of National Honor Society, Youth2Youth and the youth group at Carrollton First United Methodist Church.

-Junior Prince Austin Colletti, son of Brian Colletti and Stephanie Flanagan and a member of the Carrollton track and football teams.

Emma Bodo, daughter of David and Andrea Bodo, a member of the CHS soccer and track teams, Youth2Youth and Youth2Youth Mentoring, CHS Club, National Honor Society and Blessings in a Backpack. She plans to attend Rice University and major in biology.

-Abby Laizure, daughter of Shane and Shelli Laizure, and a member of the CHS volleyball and basketball teams. She plans to attend Aultman College and major in radiology.

-Lizzie McNutt, daughter of Paul and Carrie McNutt, who is a three-year member of the CHS volleyball and track teams and one-year member of the basketball team. She participates in the YEDA equestrian team and IEA equestrian team and plans to attend Kent State East Liverpool to become an occupational therapist assistant.

-McKinzie Mitchell, daughter of Rich and Audra Mitchell, who is a member of the YEDA equestrian team. She plans to attend Aultman College and pursue a career in nursing.

-Jacob Baker, son of Brent and Shannon Baker, and a member of the National Honor Society, Youth2Youth, CHS Student Council, Academic Hall of Fame and is a mentor. He is a member of the CHS track team and participates in sled hockey and the Carroll County 4-H program. He plans to attend Stark State College to take prerequisite courses toward a pharmacy degree.

-Hayden Burgett, son of Bryan and Amy Burgett and a member of the CHS cross country and track teams, Student Council and Academic Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Ohio Attorney General’s Teen Ambassador Board, a lifeguard, cashier at Discount Drug Mart, member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church youth group, Carroll County 4-H Teen Leaders and a 4-H camp counselor.

-Evan Lewis, son of David and Jamie Lewis, a four-year wrestling team letterman and a team captain and a three-year baseball letterman and a member of National Honor Society. He plans to attend college and study law or journalism.

-Talen Timberlake, son of Tim and Mikki Timberlake and a member of the CHS football, track and basketball teams. He plans to attend college and major in education.    nd golf at CHS and plans to attend Youngstown State University to major in microbiology.
