Gardner appointed to county elections board

Former Carroll County Board of Elections (BOE) clerk (2015-2016) Valerie Gardner, was appointed to a seat on the elections board by the Carroll County Democratic Central Committee Feb. 8.

“I’ve served my community and our elections process in so many ways, and I see this as another way to provide my knowledge and skills to help the people of Carroll County,” said Gardner.

She serves as fiscal officer for the village of Sherrodsville and owns Wildflower Yoga Studio in Sherrodsville. Additionally, Gardner is the secretary/treasurer of the Sherrodsville Lion’s Club, secretary for the Hands Across Sherrodsville Food Pantry board, unit secretary for the Sherrodsville Salvation Army, sits on the Carroll County Democratic Central and Executive Committees, and has intermittently worked as a precinct official since 2008. Gardner resides in Sherrodsville with her husband, Jim.
