Fireworks displays planned at MWCD Lakes, Carrollton, Tall Timber Resort

The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) Ladies Auxiliary #2185i s hosting the return of the annual fireworks celebration to the Carroll County fairgrounds Friday, July 5. 

Schedule of events

Vendor setup begins at 2 p.m.

Gates open at 4 p.m. for the vendor fair, which will be located under the grandstand and on the midway. Food trucks will be located on the midway.

D.J. Tyree will spin the tunes from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and a car show will be held (details to be announced later).

There will be games for kids and a blowup bounce house, as well as a beer garden for adults. 

Eagles officers asked those planning to attend to bring cash as the beer garden will be cash only and some of the vendors and food trucks might not accept cards.

The fairgrounds is located on the north side of Carrollton on SR 9 (Kensington Rd.).

Admission is by donation. Volunteers will be stationed at the entrance gates to accept donations to help defray the cost of the fireworks shot.

AREA DISPLAYS

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) will host fireworks displays at several of its lakes during the Fourth of July weekend. 

Displays begin at 10 p.m. at the following locations:

 July 5: Tappan Lake Park, 84000 Mallarnee Road, Deersville.

July 6: Atwood Lake Park, 9500 Lakeview Road NE, Mineral City; 

Charles Mill Lake Park, 1277A Ohio 430, Mansfield;

Seneca Lake Park, 22172 Park Road, Senecaville. 

Visitors can watch from land or water. Admission to the parks on the day of the display is $15 per vehicle.

Scio Park will host a celebration July 6 that includes a car show, food and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Wood’s Tall Timber Resort, 1921 Tall Timber Road NE, New Philadelphia, will have fireworks at 10 p.m. Saturday, July 6. 

Admission is $8 per person before 4 p.m. and $10 per person after 4 p.m. The Moonlyterz will be appearing that evening from 8 to 11 p.m.
