Easter services, events planned

Area churches are planning special events for Easter.

•Stillfork Presbyterian Church in Augusta will hold Maundy Thursday with Rev. Ryan Hale April 1 at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday services will begin at 9:30 a.m.

•Maundy Thursday will be held at the Perrysville United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. and an outdoor Easter Sunrise Service at 7 a.m.  Easter Services will also be held at Pleasant Hill Church at 9 a.m. and Perrysville Church at 10:30 a.m.

•The Wesley Community Chapel, 12th St., Carrollton, will sponsor a Good Friday observance April 2 at 7 p.m. The public is invited.

•Maundy Thursday services will take place April 1 at the Carrollton First United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Good Friday services will take place at the Bridge at 7 p.m. Three Easter services will take place April 4. A Sunrise Service will take place on Public Square in Carrollton at 7 a.m.; a service at 8:30 a.m. at the Yellow Brick Church and at 10 a.m. at the Bridge. Easter services will be live-streamed on YouTube, Facebook and the church website, www.yellowbrickchurch.org/live-streams. The Yellow Brick Church is located at 253 S. Lisbon St., Carrollton. The Bridge is located in the Rosebud Mining Complex at the fairgrounds.

•Carrollton Church of God is hosting an “Easter Eggapalooza” April 3 from 1-2 p.m. There will be free food, candy, music and fun, plus a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny.  The church is located at 371 Moody Ave. SW, Carrollton.
