The annual Christmas parade will return to the streets of Carrollton later this month.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce agreed last week to oversee the annual parade and scheduled it Nov. 27 at 6 p.m.

The Carrollton Rotary Club sponsored the parade for several years, but due to COVID-19, opted not to sponsor the event last year. Local merchants organized a stationary parade, which was held at the county fairgrounds.

Theme for this year’s event is “Winter Nights, Magical Lights”. Participants are encouraged to incorporate lights into their entries this year, as with the time change to later in the day, they will light up the village.

Awards will be presented.

Line-up begins at 4:30 p.m. on Third St. NE (former high school street) and steps off at 6 p.m. For information, call Carol McIntire at The Carroll County Messenger, one of this year’s sponsors, at 330-476-6343.
