Church services at Scroggsfield United Presbyterian Church are taking on a new shape. The small congregation decided on Easter, they want to continue meeting as a congregation. Services are held on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. and include singing hymns, a prayer and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Of course, those attending practice social distancing and arrived with masks, which were removed for singing.
“Since we have no means to provide our services over social media, we decided, since the weather is getting nice, we could have services if we followed the governor’s guidelines for social distancing and small gatherings,” said Linda Massey, a church member. “It gives us some sense or normalcy in our lives.”
