All former Carrollton band and choir students of the late Arthur E. Theil are invited to join the CHS Warrior Marching Band in a tribute during the Oct. 4 football game.

The dedication will be held during pregame festivities at Community Field. The playing of the CHS Alma Mater will be dedicated to Theil.

The well-known high school and college music educator, conductor and performer passed away June 7, in Hot Springs Village, AR, following an extended illness. Theil served as band and choir director at CHS from 1957 through 1964 and was married to the former Mary Lou Snively of Carrollton, who died June 9, 2022.

CHS Band Director David Dickerhoof graciously agreed to dedicate the Alma Mater to Theil. It will be conducted by his daughter, Cheri Theil, and sung by his other daughter, Kathy Hendricks.

Band and choir members are invited to gather on the track around 6:30 p.m. to stand in front of the band during the tribute.
