Bowlers keep unblemished record intact

Carrollton boys and girls bowling teams continue to cruise through the season with unblemished records.

Both teams posted wins over Claymont Dec. 15 at Carroll Lanes and defeated Canton South Dec. 17 at Hall of Fame Lanes in Canton

Claymont

The Warrior boys team defeated the Mustangs 2,503 – 1,730 and the Lady Warriors cruised to a 2,604 – 2,074 victory. Clint Brackin paced the winners, who improved to 7-0 overall, with a 410 series (185, 225). Fred Tessanne added a 353 (183, 170), followed by Coby Weiland 340 (203, 137) and Aaron Clark 307 (173, 134). Kobe Green and Ryan Worth bowled single games.

Carrollton won the individual games score 2,503 – 1,703 and the Baker 773 – 495.

Girls action

Carenda Fowler and Anissa Flanagan both bowled 400 series to help the Lady Warriors remain unbeaten with a 7-0 record.

Fowler tallied a 436 (214, 222) and Flanagan added a 400 (207, 193). Also scoring for Carrollton were Cailyn Bright 388 (194, 194), Tara Oberlin 374 (187, 187) and Nikki Rummell and Kellyn Harsh who both rolled single games.

The Warriors won the individual games score 1,908 -1,505 and the Baker 696 – 570.

Canton South

The Warriors improved to 8-0 with a 2,241 – 1,971 win over the Wildcats. The Warriors won the individual games score 1,868 – 1,732 and the Baker 373 – 239.

Tessanne’s 391 series (171, 220) was high for the winners. Clark added a 374 (192, 182), followed by Weiland 369 (169, 200) amd Green 361 (187, 174). Clint Brackin and BrantGeorge rolled single games.

Gage Montgomery led Canton South with a 422 series (194, 228).

Carrollton won the junior varsity game 1,859 -1,459, led by Eric Brackin with a 314 series.

Girls vs. Canton South

The Lady Warriors rolled to a 2,210 – 1,784 win over the Wildcats, winning the individual game scores 1,710 – 1,366 and the Baker 500- 418. Less than 40 pins separated the top four Carrollton bowlers, led by Bright with a 370 (169, 201). Rummell added a 355 (160, 195) followed by Oberlin 346 (198, 148) and Fowler 333 (181, 152).

Bailey Carl led Canton South with a 348 (164, 184).

Carrollton won the junior varsity match, led by Aubrey Taylor with a 448 series.
