Fred Sheldon Beatty, Jr. of Carrollton, Ohio passed away June 20, 2024, at the age of 81, at New Dawn Rehab and Healthcare Center in Dover, Ohio. Born January 9, 1943, Fred was the oldest of eight children to the late Fred Sheldon “Peg” Beatty Sr. and Alberta Glen Patterson. As a young boy Fred fought a bout of rheumatic fever which made him unable to complete schooling. This disease also
Doris Fenton, 95, of Carrollton, passed away Friday afternoon June 21, 2024 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. A daughter of the late Frank and Audrey Steele Hamilton, she was born December 23, 1928 in Woodsfield, Ohio. Doris attended the Malvern United Methodist Church. Surviving her are two sons, Perry (Lorraine) Fenton and Dennis (Lorrie) Fenton; two daughters, Barbara (Tom) Gambone and Karen (Sammy) Pritchard; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Viola May Lee, 96, formerly of New Rumley, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Carroll County Golden Age Retreat. Born May 26, 1928, in Jefferson County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late George Otto Strohmeyer and Margaret Hilder Strohmeyer. A 1948 graduate from Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Viola worked as a registered nurse for a few area nursing homes. She worked at Caroll Healthcare Center
