William E. Peshina wins Div. III district track title

Malvern senior Paige Peshina won the Division III district title in the 400 and was the runner-up in the 1600 to earn berths at regional competition at Massillon this week. Peshina had times of 1:02.48 in the 400 and 5:38.82 in the 1600. She also anchored the 4×400 relay team which placed third in a time of 4:21.31 to earn a regional berth. Gary D. Lee sentence reduced

Gary D. Lee, Jr.’s prison sentence on child pornography convictions was reduced seven years during a resentencing hearing Monday in Carroll County Common Pleas Court. Lee, of Carrollton, was found guilty of two counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and two counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor by a county petit jury Jan. 27, 2020.
