W. Dean Gotschall, 86, of Carrollton, passed away early Friday morning Dec. 18, 2020, at Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton. Born May 9, 1934, in Lee Twp., Carroll County, a son of the late Charles and Clara Palmer Gotschall. Robert Boyd Gween, 88, of Carrollton passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 15, 2020, at Sunnyslope Care Center in Bowerston. Born May 8, 1932 in Lee Township, he was the son of the late Dewey and Jennie Gween. Robert had been employed at Hercules Motors and spent 44 years at TRW/PCC in Minerva. Upon entering the Air Force, he was selected for the armed forces Special Weapons Project in New Mexico.
Wayne A. Burnsworth, 68, of Libby, MT, and a former Sherrodsville resident, was called home to the Lord Dec. 15, 2020, following a short bout with cancer. He was the son of the late Hubert V. Burnsworth Sr. and Hannah Eleanor Burnworth Burnsworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hubert V. Burnswoth, Jr. He leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Verna M. Kenneth R. Sellards, 77, of Crum Road SE, Sherrodsville, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, 2020, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital following a brief illness. Born Jan. 16, 1943, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Edgar Ray and Alberta Earthileen Horner Sellards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernie Sellards, Chester Sellards and Lester Sellards; and a sister, Gloria Johnson.
Larry Boggess, 80, of Germantown (near Dayton), passed away in the promise of the second coming of Jesus and the resurrection Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020. Born Nov. 20, 1940, he was the son of the late Everett and Mildred (Geckler) Boggess. He graduated from Carrollton High School with the Class of 1958.
