Rockets dominate Steubenville Central Catholic in 34-13 grid win

The Conotton Valley Rockets defeated Steubenville Central Catholic 34-13 during a Thursday game, Sept. 10, on the road. Junior Maddox Walter had 211 yards rushing on 35 attempts, averaging six yards per carry. He scored three touchdowns for the Rockets. Sophomore Evan Rice also rushed for a touchdown. Rice, and juniors James Burlson and Garson Imes, each had five tackles. Head Coach Don Hertler said the team played very hard.

Barker wins at EC invite; Minerva wins team title

Carrollton junior Camryn Barker won two cross country invitational titles within a one-week span, topping the field at both Newcomerstown and the East Canton TRY Meet Sept. 12.
